FILMMAKERS

 

Born in Taipei, Taiwan. Feng-I Fiona Roan is a Taipei-based writer and director. She found her way to directing through feminist classics such as Thelma & Louise (1991), Orlando (1992), and The Ballad of Little Jo(1993).

She earned a B.A. in Chinese Literature at National Taiwan University, and will pursuit a MFA in filmmaking at American Film Institute in Los Angeles this year.

 

She also produced 42 Minutes, a short film written and directed by Chen-Wen Lo. 

 

At present, she is currently working on Front Window(2015), a non-dialogue short film that features an aging crippled woman who breaks her decaying apartment window to bring the old glass mender to her door.

Born in Taiwan, Chen-Wen is a New York-based filmmaker. She received her B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing from The George Washington University.

 

She found inspiration in works of Charlie Kaufman, Akira Kurosawa, and Michael Haneke, and she decided to pursue filmmaking when first seeing "Amour" (2012). She is currently exploring different genres and disciplines as a writer/ director/ producer/ editor.

 

Her most recent projects include Front Window (in-production) directed by Feng-I Fiona Roan, and her own short film Dots (in-production).

 

She is currently studying Cinema Studies at New York University.

 

She is writer/director of 42 Minutes(2014).

Born in Taipei, Taiwan. Ko Chunyao is a video artist, photographer, and cinematographer based in Nice, France.

 

He is currently pursing his MFA degree in Fine Arts at Villa Arson, Beaux-Art de Nice. 

 

As a photographer he focuses on black and white film photography as his main medium. He later turned to video art which later lead to his work in films.

 

He was cinematographer for both Pap Smear, 42 Minutes, and various short films and video works of his own.
